Art
For the art potion of my project, I mono-printed . Mono-printing is where you create a art piece one time, allowing people to see more originals. I mono-printed a image of a DNA strand and instead of getting one painting each time, I was able to get two paintings. This worked out for me because the originals represent one twin, while the 2nd represents the other, creating similarities and differences. This means Down below are the steps I took to create my paintings:
1. Get a image to reference off the Internet (if needed)
2. Used monotype color paint and painted on the DNA strand image onto a piece of plexiglass
3. Wet a piece of water art paper and put directly over top of the glass
4. Use a roller to get ride of any bubbles in the paper and make the paper straight
5. Lift paper off glass and your painting should transfer from the plexiglass to the paper
6. Let dry

English
For the English portion I created 3 different poems. The first poem focused on twins and how they can be dependent on each other and similar to each other, but in the end they just want to be their own person and go down different paths. The twins want to have their own freedom. The second poem is on police brutality but focuses more on the victims of police brutality. Lastly, the third poem is connecting both topics of twins and police brutality from twin telepathy.
Free
Connected by heart
But slowly drifting apart
Time for a fresh start
The view that I am trying to convey is of a pair of twins. The meaning behind this poem was to say how twins will always be connected, but they are two different people and want to be independent.
Loss
Some don’t get justice
Others fight with fists and guns
Many have fallen
I am trying to convey a victim of police brutality. The meaning behind this poem is about the victims who have been wronged by the police for unreasonable reasons. Many people in rough areas have passed away, leading others to do more crimes as a sign of rebelling.
Telepathic Brutality
Two minds think the same
They’re apart, but both get hurt
Both hearts lead to pain
The meaning behind this poem is on twin telepathy and how even though one is going through the pain, the others feels it just as bad. The point of view is from a third person expressing what the twins experienced/felt.

History
My history was reaching the topic of police brutality. I started off by researching the cases of Freddie Gray and Michael Brown who are the top stories on police brutality. From learning what the reasonings the cops had for killing Freddie and Michael, I specified my research down to the Rights of the People and the Rights of Police Officers. I did this to show what happens when a person gets arrested or goes under assumption from a cop and compare that to what happens to an officer when they get arrested. There was both differences and similarities such as they both have the right to a attorney and they can refuse to answer questions, but the difference would be that even though the officer has the right to not answer questions, they are warned that they can lose their job for refusing. To connect/organize my history research, I created a flowchart, which is down below.
