This project is special to me for many reasons. In the future, I plan to work in the special intelligence realm and this project made me realize that even more. I never thought I would learn so much on one topic and want to pursue a similar career. The CIA and FBI are just 2 of the many intelligence agencies you, as the reader, will be informed about. Enjoy!
Art
Once I came upon the topic of Intelligence, I immediately started coming up with ideas for the art portion. During the month long process, different ideas were brought up for the art but in the end, I chose to base my art on spy gadets. Spy gadgets were more known during the years of the Cold War so I took that and decided to come up with my own gadgets. I wanted to come up with more modern gadgets that could benefit spies in the current years. The next thing that I did was make a list of places the FBI work such as Kuwait or undercover in a office. With this information, I found out what people wore in each specific place so that I can create gadgets based on the person's clothes or items that would be around them. The last part of my process was to bring all the information that I gathered and create a final product. Time was a crunch to build my own gadget but I still wanted the final product to be creative to the eye, so Adobe Spark was used to create a small webpage linked below.
When making the small webpage on Adobe Spark, I kept in mind that I wanted the webpage to be eye-catching, but still informative. The webpage includes the gadgets that I have created and why I believe each gadget would be used by a spy. For example, I put that if the spy is a woman, they could hide a bobby pin in their hejab to use a hidden microphone. One of the reasons for making this webpage was to show how the smallest objects or pieces of clothing could be used for modern day spy gadgets. Realizing that the information I had wasn't enough, I added a youtube video on the former CIA Chief speaking about how spies use disguises, a link to a website including multiple people who have been spies and what they did/who they went undercover as. Since the spy gadgets was based on the Cold War, I included some of the disguised gadgets used during the Cold War. The more uncommon or unusual the clothing/object is, the less likely you will be caught. Hide the gadget in a creative way and where no one would think to look like a belt hoop on your jeans or in your umbrella.
English
For the English portion of this project, I wrote a journal from the perspective of a FBI agent working on a well known case from the 1930s. I chose to write a journal because I didn't want this project to have just my persepective or just my reasonings, I wanted to bring in more aspects. Throughout the journal entry, it talks about feeling the need to prove ones self as the rookie to peers and how very first case the agent worked on affected his career. Reasoning was the main focus for this whole project so I explained why the agent thought the things that he did, why he wanted to become a FBI detective, and I put my own reasonings for writing a journal based in the 1900s the way that I did.

History
History was one of the more harder subjects for this project due to not knowing exactly what I wanted to do with my research. I started with researching all the intelligence agencies and what they did to make a impact for our country. Looking at the list I had made, I realized that the list was too long so I narrowed down by which agencies have the biggest budgets. The top three was the Department of Treasury ($131k), FBI ($128k), and Homeland Security ($126k). Focusing on these top 3, I created a video. The video consists of explaining what they agency was, what they did, and how U.S. citizens were affected by the FBI, Homeland Security, and the Department of Treasury. Many Americans have heard of some intelligence agencies but don't know how much they actually impact us, as citizens.
Reasoning
Reasoning was the main focus going into this project. Throughout the entire month to complete the project, I had to make sure I had my reasonings for the Art, English, and Social Studies portions. Reasonings may be just explaining what you did or why you did something speficially, but how you explain can change the outcome you wanted. For example, I didn't just want to explain every thing using the same words over repeatedly, so I made sure to break down each subject area and the process I took by not making my reasonings as noticeable for certain areas. It may seem like I didn't do enough with this project but the process I took and the reasonings behind every picture and word I used was.
